WINTERIZATION INFORMATION |
Why Winterize Your Boat Engine? One of the most important steps in extending the trouble-free life of your boat's engine is to be sure that it has been properly serviced and prepared for cold weather during the winter. Water left in the engine can cause major damage to the engine block and the manifold system. If you choose to winterize yourself the importance of a service manual cannot be overstated. Most engine manuals have a very good and detailed section on winterization procedures. We strongly recommend that your engine is winterized in strict accordance with the authorized service or shop manual for your boat's engine. Damage caused by freezing or improper winterization is NOT covered by the limited factory warranty. At Sherm's we winterize hundreds of boats every year. Any boat, any engine - we'll ensure your inboard, outboard, personal watercraft or houseboat is properly winterized. 2008 WINTERIZATION RATES |
